Historical eligibility and application conditions
- The circular required the post-specific degree, result, experience and discipline stated in the notice. Candidates with a third division, class or equivalent CGPA in any examination were not eligible.
- The maximum age on 1 January 2018 was 30 years for general candidates and 32 years for the eligible freedom-fighter quota and candidates with disabilities described in the notice.
- Government, autonomous or state-owned organization employees had to apply with the appropriate authority’s permission and present it when required.
- A candidate could apply for only one post. The notice stated that multiple applications by the same candidate would be cancelled.
- All six categories used the same Tk 500 examination fee through the specified Teletalk payment process.
Online application and payment process used in 2018
- The candidate selected one of the six post categories and completed the online application at the GTCL Teletalk portal.
- A 300 × 300-pixel colour photograph of no more than 100 KB and a 300 × 80-pixel signature of no more than 60 KB were uploaded.
- After checking the preview, the candidate submitted the form and saved the applicant’s copy containing the User ID.
- The Tk 500 examination fee was paid through two SMS messages from a Teletalk prepaid mobile number.
- Applicants who submitted the form by the closing time and received a User ID were allowed the notice’s additional 72-hour payment window, ending at 5:00 PM on 21 February 2018.

About GTCL and its recruitment process
GTCL is a government-owned gas transmission company under the supervision of Petrobangla. Its role is connected with the transmission of natural gas through the national high-pressure pipeline network.
