Age Limit, Quota and District Conditions

Age was calculated on 1 August 2019. General applicants had to be between 18 and 30 years old. The maximum age was 32 for children of freedom fighters or martyred freedom fighters and for candidates with disabilities. Grandchildren of freedom fighters or martyred freedom fighters remained subject to the maximum age of 30. An affidavit was not accepted as proof of age.

The opening clause invited eligible Bangladeshi citizens except residents of the three hill districts of Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachari. The notice also contained additional post-specific district restrictions. For the lower-grade posts, its restriction column named Madaripur, Jamalpur, Chapainawabganj, Bogura, Dinajpur, Panchagarh, Magura, Bagerhat, Chuadanga, Meherpur, Barishal, Pirojpur and Patuakhali. Residents of orphanages and candidates with physical disabilities could apply from all districts under the exception printed in the circular. Applicants needed to follow the exact row and condition in the original notice.

DAE Online Application Process Used in 2019

The 2019 application period has ended. The steps below describe how that recruitment worked and help applicants understand the usual Teletalk workflow. A later DAE circular may change its deadline, photograph size, fee, SMS keyword or eligibility rules.

  1. The applicant opened the DAE recruitment portal and selected one eligible post from the online application form.
  2. Personal, address, quota and educational details were entered exactly as shown on certificates and official records.
  3. No printed or handwritten application sent by post, by hand or through another offline method was accepted.
  4. The completed application was checked carefully before submission, because incorrect information could lead to cancellation.
  5. After submission, the Applicant's Copy containing the User ID was downloaded and saved.
  6. The prescribed fee was paid from a Teletalk prepaid mobile within 72 hours, following the SMS instructions printed on the Applicant's Copy.
  7. The Applicant's Copy and payment confirmation were kept for admit-card download and later recruitment notices.

Important: Submitting the online form alone did not complete the application. The fee had to be paid within the stated time. For any new recruitment, use only the link and instructions published in that new DAE notice.

Application Fee in the 2019 Circular

Post group and total Teletalk payment
Post groupAmount stated in the notice
Grade 14 to Grade 16 postsTk 100 fee + Tk 12 service charge = Tk 112
Grade 17 to Grade 20 postsTk 50 fee + Tk 6 service charge = Tk 56

These amounts apply only to the 2019 circular. Applicants should never reuse an old fee amount or SMS format for a new DAE recruitment without checking the latest official notice.

DAE Admit Card, Exam Date, Seat Plan and Result

DAE exam dates, admit cards, seat plans and results are released through recruitment-specific notices. Candidates normally need the User ID and password from their Applicant's Copy to access an activated admit-card page. An old application link does not prove that a new admit card or exam schedule is available.

  • Check the DAE notice board for the post name, exam date, reporting time and venue instructions.
  • Use the official DAE Teletalk admit-card page only after DAE activates the relevant recruitment.
  • Match the roll number in a result notice or PDF carefully; do not share passwords or unnecessary personal information on social media.
  • If an SMS and a website notice differ, follow the latest official notice and contact details published by DAE or Teletalk.

The DAE website also retains recruitment notices connected with the 14-category process. This makes the official notice board the safest place to check later-stage updates rather than relying on an estimated result date.

DAE Exam Syllabus and Preparation Guidance

The two-page 2019 circular does not publish one universal subject-wise marks distribution for all 14 posts. It refers to written, oral and practical examinations where applicable and states that no travel or daily allowance would be paid for attending them. Therefore, any exact syllabus or claim about a particular exam-taking institution should be treated as unofficial unless DAE publishes a separate notice.

Prepare according to the selected post

  • Office Assistant-cum-Computer Typist: Practise Bangla and English typing, word processing, data entry and basic computer operations in addition to common written-test subjects.
  • Statistical Assistant and Store Keeper: Review the relevant academic foundation, arithmetic, record keeping and common government recruitment topics.
  • Electrician, Driver, Plumber Mistry and Sprayer Mechanic: Prepare for trade knowledge, safety, tools, practical work and the licence or experience requirements stated for the post.
  • Other support posts: Build a basic foundation in Bangla, English, mathematics, general knowledge and everyday workplace awareness, while following any later official syllabus.

Previous government recruitment questions can help with practice, but they do not replace an official DAE syllabus. Use timed practice, review wrong answers and keep technical preparation aligned with the duties of the exact post.
