Qualification and typing-speed requirement

The circular required a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or an equivalent qualification. Applicants also needed a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute in English and 20 words per minute in Bangla. Both the academic qualification and typing ability were part of the stated eligibility for the Office Assistant-cum-Computer Operator post.

The advertised salary scale was Tk 11,000–26,590 under the National Pay Scale 2015, corresponding to Grade 13. The circular advertised exactly 410 vacancies, rather than an approximate number.

Age limit and recruitment conditions

Age was calculated on 14 December 2017. General candidates had to be between 18 and 30 years old. The upper age limit was 32 for children of freedom fighters or martyred freedom fighters and for candidates with physical disabilities. Grandchildren of freedom fighters or martyred freedom fighters remained within the 18–30 range stated in the notice. An affidavit was not accepted as proof of age.

• Orphanage residents and candidates with physical disabilities could apply from every district.
• Government, semi-government and autonomous-organization employees had to apply through the proper authority within the deadline.
• The applicable government quota policy governed the recruitment.
• Original certificates and attested copies had to be produced when instructed at the oral-examination stage.
• False information, forged documents or unfair conduct could lead to cancellation of candidature and legal action.

How the BADC online application worked

1. Candidates completed the online application through the BADC Teletalk website during the stated application period.
2. The form required a colour photograph measuring 300 × 300 pixels and a signature measuring 300 × 80 pixels.
3. Before final submission, candidates checked the entered information carefully and then downloaded the Applicant’s Copy containing the User ID.
4. The Tk 500 examination fee had to be paid through two SMS messages from a Teletalk prepaid number within 72 hours of submitting the form.
5. The User ID and password were later used to download the admit card after the relevant BADC notice was issued.

The original post linked to the BADC Teletalk application and admit-card address. This historical endpoint should be used for a new application only when a current official BADC circular directs applicants to it.

BADC application fee payment by SMS

After online submission, the candidate used the User ID shown on the Applicant’s Copy to complete the two-step fee payment. The circular required successful payment within 72 hours; submitting the online form without paying the fee did not complete the application.

Candidates were instructed to retain the Applicant’s Copy and payment confirmation. The notice also provided Teletalk SMS commands for recovering a lost User ID or PIN.

Selection process and exam preparation

The circular stated that eligible applicants would take a written examination and that candidates who passed the written stage would be called for an oral examination. It did not publish a question count, marks distribution, detailed syllabus or the name of an exam-conducting institution. Candidates should use separately verified recruitment information for any detail published outside this circular.
